we made a promise on top of the empire state building

to never go on top of it again in the blistering cold.

i've lived in ny for 6 years and never been up on the observatory. a stop at the empire state building wasn't even in our original plans, but we were passing by after lunch and i just couldn't pass up on the chance. the views were stunning but it was *so* cold. i went to school in upstate new york but i still can't stand the cold! which brings me to the cold front we've been having in the dc area. brrrr! what is up?! i've been also not been feeling well, which makes everything that much more worse and dramatic. i've had an odd combination of soreness all over my body, random headaches, nausea, coughing, sneezes, upset stomach and.. pain in my left pointer finger!?! i have no idea how and where that happened, but i haven't been able to bend it much since coming back from ny.

but it's friday! i hope to recuperate more over the weekend.
happy friday!

xoxo,
jane

  3. Oh New York, how i want to visit you so (not in the winter though). It looks like a vibrant and fun city. Those skyskapers and high rise buildings are such staples of NY. I plan on going this year, hope we can make it happen.

Hope you recover and feel much better soon. I hate being sick, it really sucks.

  4. I'ts been years, but I think I went to the top when I was a kid! Somtimes when you live somewhere, you never really experience the city like a tourist would, and I love being a tourist in my own city. It's a different experience. Looks like you had a great time -the photos are so pretty.
And the cold front blows! I hope the snow isn't oo bad, I have to drive through the mountains tomorrow!

    1. Eep! Hope the snow isn't bad. We only got flurries. Kinda bummed. Also bummed that I couldn't go outside and play. I was sick with I think a stomach virus. It was horrible.

  10. JANE! I loved all the shots! Though they're not many but each shot speaks so much about it! Especially that I haven't been to NY nor the empire state building, but I'd really love to visit! :) And yes, brrrrrr. Maybe not in the cold. Still loving it though, have fun Jane!
