February 15, 2014

because i just need to ramble on about a few things this morning.

so i had a talk with piri's vet yesterday and everyone is pretty stumped. what is going on with that mysterious pain every time he tries to yawn? well, we're back at the vet on monday to try new meds and most likely we'll also have to go to a specialist to get ct scans done on piri's head, mouth and throat. i wish he didn't have to. i get nervous when he has to go under for these kinds of procedures... how does he stay so playful? his heart is pure gold i tell ya..

yangkyu has stopped throwing up. maybe it was my terrible porridge that i cooked last night that did the trick? his stomach always seems to be able to digest my quirky meals... now if that isn't love, i don't know what is.

i finished reading dog years and watched gravity yesterday and it put me in the most gloomiest of moods. i was hoping nora ephron's book would get me out of this funk, but her first chapter has made me terrified for my neck when i reach the age of 43.

  1. I wish the best for Piri! It's so much pain to witness your beloved pets in agony. I hope your mood gets better and don't stress too much. I know that might sound silly to say with everything happening, but you always have to stay positive.

  2. Just wanna send you, Yangku and Piri good vibes, Jane. It's never a good experience to have tests done on your baby, but I'm sure everything will be all right.

  3. Oh my goodness, this all seems like a lot on your plate! Sending wishes of health and recovery to your your boys. We watched Blue Jasmine last night, and for some reason we thought it was going to be a romantic comedy but it was definitely NOT. :P Hope the rest of your weekend includes some cheer and fun!

  12. I get nervous when animals go under sedation too. My pup had a tumor removed last week, fortunately it was nothing. Piri will be okay... Sending good vibes.

  13. All the best to Piri and your husband. I hate the waiting game especially not knowing what's wrong. I hope the cause of his pain will reveal in the CT scan so the vet can help him.

  14. It is so frustrating when even the vet doesn't know what is wrong! Frankie went through a period where she just got the shakes for no apparent reason and I went to two vets and still no answers. In the end I just put a stop to all the tests they were doing and thankfully the shakes disappeared on its own. Hope the pain goes away for Piri ASAP.

  15. Hope they will soon find the cause, it can be so frustrating! I'm crossing fingers from Barcelona, the long distance will surely make the trick to shorten the time ;) Piri's good mood while handling with this must be very inspiring. Hugs for Piri, you and Yangkyu!
