Beautiful Shenandoah

On Saturday we started the day early to go to the vet's office for Piri's weekly fluid therapy and to get some errands done and out of the way before heading over to Shenandoah National Park Skyline Drive. We haven't been there since 2013 and so we were eager to go back and take in some fall foliage before it got too late.

Shenandoah is beautiful this time of year - well, I think she must be pretty all throughout the year and it's a shame that we don't come here often. It's about an hour drive from where we live but it's like having a national park right in your own back yard. It doesn't get any better than that does it?

So many families, couples in love, friends and dogs came to enjoy some fresh air and so many had cameras, tripods and selfie sticks with them. Every time I see someone with a selfie stick I think, hmm.. maybe we should get one, but we get so timid and shy and self-conscious that I think we'll have a hard time taking photos with it!

Everyone at Skyline Drive this day were happily posing, being silly, laughing and having a good time. It was great to be a part of that environment. Happiness sure is contagious.
