A year ago today, Piri had his surgery to remove the suspicious lump in his mouth.
All I wished during the weeks and months leading up to his surgery (which were filled with lots of visits to the vets and specialists) was for him to wake up from surgery. That was the only thing worrying me.. if his kidneys would withstand anesthesia.
Little did I know that he already had cancer and that his perfect and loyal heart would stop beating in 7 months time.
I will miss you, Piri, every day for the rest of my life.
